Market impact concerns ahead of US and UK elections divide industry

‘We need someone with a bit of something about them’

The majority of the financial advice industry is only mildly concerned about the impact this year’s US and UK elections will have on markets, Professional Adviser finds.

Nearly half (46%) of pundits who took part in the latest PA Asks said they are ‘somewhat concerned' while 36% responded that they are ‘not very concerned'. Just 6% of respondents said they were ‘not concerned at all' about the market impact from the two elections A total 12% said they are ‘very concerned'. One worried respondent said that the US election in particular "feels different". "Democracy itself seems on the ballot. A Trump second term could see escalation of trouble across the globe."
